Fanart – Oekakis
October 12, 2009
As a celebration of Nakoruru’s Birthday yesterday, I wanted to present a small collection of fanart in the form of Oekakis. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, “oekaki” are web based artist forums. Artists can create doodles using a paint program hosted on web servers. Oekaki boards are highly popular in Japan and in America, especially among anime fans. Here is a small collection of various Nakoruru oekakis that I’ve found over the years. It’s not much, but they’re especially cute!

Nice oekakis! Have you tried visiting on the japanese site pixiv.net? There’s a lot of fanarts including Nakoruru, you need to register there but it’s free!

I have just run into this fansite and I think is quite good. Nice post to celebrate another nakoruru´s birthday, yet another since 1771! If posible, I would suggest posting some more Rera´s art; I really like that character and her depictions are rather scarce.

k-dash – I plan on working on a Rera section eventually, and perhaps even Rimururu as well. Thanks for visiting! Glad you like the site!
shinobi – I haven’t heard of that site! I’ll be sure to check it out once I get the free time!

Hello again, it´s been a while. Good, the idea for the Rera and Rimururu sections sounds just fine, so I cheer your endeavours. For now I would like to share the link for the ainu museum in Japan: http://www.ainumuseum.or.jp/english/english.html
Just in case you haven´t checked, contains interesting information and pics about ainu people focusing in their culture.
