Let it snow!
December 14, 2009
How is everyone’s holiday season going? Me, since I work in retail, it’s been pretty hectic. I must mention by the way, that is seems like Samurai Shodown Destiny’s Edge have been delayed. It was supposed to come out this month, but for reasons unknown, they pushed it back. It’s a shame, but I’m still looking forward to the game!
But enough sad news! I just wanted to chime in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas! This lovely drawing of Nakoruru all bundled up is a gift from a best friend of mine! For today’s fanart post, it’s Nakoruru in a wintry theme! I dug these out of my huge folders of fanart that I’ve collected over the years. Hope you enjoy!
Fanart: Aqualoft
November 14, 2009
Hi everyone, sorry for the small hiatus. I’ve been a tad bit busy then not busy by taking a vacation! I’m back now and I do believe it’s time to update the blog. :3
Fanart feature for today is from Aqualoft! I would have loved to have linked back to the site, but sadly it has since been closed down. It’s a shame because his/her(?) artwork is very unique. I especially like their sprite based illustrations. I do hope they reopen their site someday!
Fanart – Oekakis
October 12, 2009
As a celebration of Nakoruru’s Birthday yesterday, I wanted to present a small collection of fanart in the form of Oekakis. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, “oekaki” are web based artist forums. Artists can create doodles using a paint program hosted on web servers. Oekaki boards are highly popular in Japan and in America, especially among anime fans. Here is a small collection of various Nakoruru oekakis that I’ve found over the years. It’s not much, but they’re especially cute!
Happy Birthday Nakoruru

Figurines: Lilic’s Nakoruru
September 23, 2009
I recently picked up this beautiful Nakoruru statue from a recent shopping trip to Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles. Manufactured by Lilic’s Artstorm, the 1/6 scale, PVC statue stands close to 8 inches tall. It’s been out since December of 2007, but I never got the chance to pick this one up until I actually saw it in person at the Anime Jungle I visited. I believe the design is based off of Aoi Nanase’s character design of Nakoruru. What I love most about this statue is the pose and the flow of the cape.
The first photo here was taken by my friend Jake, who joined my husband and I for our shopping spree.
To see more pics I took myself, follow the jump!

September 17, 2009

Hello, everyone! I know it’s been a long time since the last update. Yes, I’m aware I’ve said that quite a few times already! But as you can see, I’m having the site transition more into a blog like style. Plus finally YOU will be able to leave comments! Exciting no? So I hope you all will enjoy the new look and feel of the site. Welcome to Feather: A Nakoruru Fan Blog!
Things to look forward to:
